Choosing a dark wall colour can really work well in a small space. In this instance the high ceilings, oversized white painted fireplace and deep windowsills balanced the deep wall colour leaving the room immediately clean yet cosy. With injections of mustard from the soft furnishings and some interesting furniture, both antique and mid century, this room was easily transformed into a stylish and relaxing space.
