COUNTRY KITCHEN

CREATING SPACE IN A COUNTRY COTTAGE

This renovation in a traditional Norfolk flint cottage brought together a small kitchen and separate dining area to make an open plan family room ready for the arrival of a new baby. The design was sympathetic to its period features, adding a reclaimed oak beam enhanced the traditional character of the cottage alongside more modern design elements such as the Hicks wallpaper. A bespoke brass extractor hood added a unique and stylish focal point and really elevated the room. A herringbone floor gives the illusion of space. In a small property zoning each area creates practical usable spaces such as dining, relaxing, cooking and play. The breakfast bar has become a social link to all.
